This item consists of a booklet with a memory game activity. The object of the activity is to match the cards to the items on the larger poster. This is a memory recall and association activity that will inspire conversation. Some of the matching items include commonly associated items, like bread and butter, and spaghetti with meatballs.
When using this activity, take your time and keep your tone light and kind. There is no need to rush through the activity. Pause on certain cards or images and encourage the person with dementia to reminisce and talk about the memories the pictures might inspire. 
Some other advice includes making sure that the person with dementia is comfortable and the area is well lit. A table is the best location for this activity.
