The Lion King is a classic Disney movie, with amazing music, interesting characters, and a creative storyline. Disney definitely evokes emotion at the beginning of this film, which makes Simba’s journey even more meaningful. You definitely develop a strong dislike for Scar, and will be routing Simba on from the start. It is a really fun film, and there is also a lot of humour, which makes the movie light-hearted and enjoyable for a variety of audiences. The story is very sweet, and I think that the adventure keeps the audience intrigued throughout. I would highly recommend this movie to other viewers! @PenelopeScriptor of the Teen Review Board at the Hamilton Public Library The Lion King is one of the greatest animated movies of all time. It has a great storyline that includes amazing characters and not to mention the excellent blend of songs which include, Circle of Life, Hakuna Matata, and Can You Feel the Love Tonight. This movie features a great mix of humour, drama, and many emotional moments. It presents the story of a lion cub named Simba, who is the son of powerful King Mufasa. After Simba's evil uncle Scar murders Mufasa, he is led to believe that he is responsible for the tragic death of his own father and is ultimately forced to leave the kingdom away from his family while also losing his throne as king to Scar. In his exile, he makes new friends and lives a happy life in the jungle. When he matures, he is able to realize that he must defeat Scar and claim his rightful throne as the Lion King. This is a masterpiece made by Disney and I truly recommend for everyone to watch it. 5/5 - @ReadingThruThe6 of the Teen Review Board at the Hamilton Public Library I am sure that almost everyone has seen this classic Disney film at least once in their lives. Of course that’s an exaggeration, although it is very true that this film is super popular. Simba is a young lion who is the main character of this film. His uncle, Scar, is plotting to take over the throne since Simba is next in line. Mufasa, the current king, is the father of Simba. Scar intentionally causes Mufasa to die and blames it on Simba, who believes him and flees the kingdom. However, Simba eventually learns that it was, in fact, Mufasa who killed his father, not him. Will Simba gain his kingdom and retake the throne which rightfully belongs to him? - @JuiceboxZ of the Teen Review Board at the Hamilton Public Library
