Serial Killers in Their Own Chilling Words
Mar 27, 2011jkovacs rated this title 2.5 out of 5 stars
For a book on serial killers this was mostly alright. It definitely had some very disturbing parts, especially the chapter on David Parker Ray. But it also had some disappointing parts. The hand written diary of Westley Allan Dodd was very difficult to read, parts being illegible. Not sure why the author didn't type the diary, as there were other notes that were typed out. Disappointing to have the some of the sources sited as internet sites especially Wikipedia. If Wikipedia is not a valid source for students to use, it shouldn't be for authors. For fans of true crime there will be little new information. Some of the sources the author used were other books on serial killers (for example - The Riverman by Robert Keppel) which fans probably would have previously read, I know I had. Interesting in parts, but a bit disappointing.
