Absolutely fantastic documentary! If you are an evidence-based person, the research and evidence are here. Whole food plant based nutrition isn't the next weight loss fad. The proof is in the evidence. You'll see how changing your eating habits, your nutrition and lifestyle to a plant-based "diet" can alter your health now and in the future. If you need facts to convince you to at least try, then watch this documentary.
----
Follow up with listening to Drs. Caldwell Esselstyn, Michael Greger, Michelle McMacken, John McDougall, T. Colin Campbell, Matthew Lederman, and Alona Pulde. Also to mention Rip, Anne and Jane Esselstyn for all they've contributed to WFPB education and cooking know how!.\ They're all a part of the key to changing our lives, health and environmental awareness.
----
This documentary is a great introduction to the life-changing opportunities of Whole Food Plant Based Nutrition. Give it a try... At least consider the possibilities, for your sake and for those who love you and want you around a long time. :)
----
Forks Over Knives and The Game Changers are also excellent resources for WFPB nutrition. Check out Rip Esselstyn's Podcasts, the work of Dr. Michelle McMacken at Bellevue Hospital in NYC and Jane and Anne Esselstyn's Youtube How to on cooking PB meals! All great resources.

Excellent documentary. This would be considered an introductory to world of plantBased diets because as well as this subject, also gets into the industries which would oppose such so not enough time to delve deeply into either. Some excellent info on plantBased provided by some top physicians in the field, one being Dr. Joel Fuhrman. He has been writing on the subject for decades. His Eat To Live book is an excellent full-scope resource. (I am not related.)

I went to a screening of this movie in Lawrence about 6 months ago and thought it was good, but not great....then I saw newly edited version of it at a conference last month and thought it was terrific and that is the copy that is available now at LPL. This is the NEWER/Better version and I highly recommend it.
.
It moves fast, has multiple interesting story lines, uses really good science to explain and add credence to the compelling, inspiring experiences of the people featured who were sick and getting sicker with standard medical care...until they learned what this film teaches.
.
If you would like to take control of your health and feel better than ever, this documentary will point the way.
.
I'd also recommend Forks Over Knives.
