An overly fawning assessment of the first New Democratic Party government of the Province of Alberta. The first 81 pages provide the historical background leading up to the NDP win in 2015; in addition, Chapter 6 reflects on the precedent of Mayor Naheed Nenshi's win in the City of Calgary on the political upset at the provincial level. Only time will tell whether Alberta NDP Premier Rachel Notley's climate 'leadership' plan and bitumen pipeline construction ambitions will meet the long-term needs of both Albertans and Canadians. Best wait for the revised edition of this book after the next Alberta provincial election in 2019.
