I don't remember how I came across this title, but it was in my most recent library haul so I gave it a try. This isn't your typical book, it is more of a workout guide, cookbook, healthy living tutorial. Although I wouldn't necessarily say I am the target audience for this book, I did walk away with some great little nuggets. First, I really appreciate that it focuses on strength (not losing weight, not a specific diet, not on being skinny, etc). Also, I'm stoked she includes different workouts for different levels of fitness. Lastly, I think it was the kick in the pants I needed to actually start adding strength training back in to my regimen. I have gotten lazy in that department (although I have been doing a squat, push-up, plank and crunch challenge {actually four separate challenges} this month, so maybe that is the jumpstart, along with this book, that I needed). I wouldn't say this is one I would recommend folks to buy (I'm sure you can find similar information online, for free), but since I checked it out of the library it worked for me. I would give it a 6 out of 10.

This isn't another athlete's book that preaches the same thing over and and and exercise.

Lindsey stresses the importance of being active through sports and activities that YOU like. Same with diet. Finding things the reader likes and incorporating them into your every day diet.

This is a wonderful book that focuses on clean eating, movement and mindset. I enjoyed reading Lindsey's athletic and health journey, and the plentiful tips and resources on clean eating, meal ideas, fitness (including a great chapter on warming up!).
