Don't waste your time. Terrible movie. Some stories are better left untold if they just make the person look bad.

Just awful. A cuisinart of randomly placed, badly edited scenes with zero in the way of character development or narrative arc. An insult to Saint Laurent; the other biopic filmed around the same time, YSL, featuring members of Comedie Francaise in the leading roles, was vastly more respectful and illuminating. The crassness of THIS film establishes itself almost right away, with a scene of the protagonist confessing to an unseen interviewer the horrors he faced in a mental hospital. Exploitation isn't the same as drama -- a distinction lost on the prurient no-talents who assembled this altogether boring garbage.

This is an unwatchable movie, I suffered through something like 20 minutes and that was it. Poor acting, casting is bad, the structure of the movie is weird. If you want to learn about the life of Yves Saint Laurent, don't waste your time on this movie, the other one "Yves Saint Laurent" 2015 ( available at OPL) is way much better.
