Jimmy cannot die. When the body he is occupying is killed, Jimmy's consciousness simply takes over the body of the living person in closest proximity to him. Simple, right? Not once Jimmy gets started. Because Jimmy is an insurance actuary. His mind is sharp and highly analytical, and he cares about nothing but his own survival and the survival of his adorable daughter. To avoid the shadowy government agency on his tail, Jimmy will do anything to protect his family, even if it means tearing the world down around them in the most mind-bogglingly complex and fiendishly clever way possible. From the brilliant and profane mind of Jason Shiga, known for his high-concept comics work on the web and in print, comes a magnum opus: a four-volume mystery adventure about the shocking chaos (and astronomical body count) one highly rational and utterly unscrupulous man can create in the world, given a single simple supernatural power.

Demon is a really quick read, with simple art and few words. Yet it's still compelling, gory, ridiculous--and just a lot of fun. Jason Shiga starts gory and mysterious. Then he just runs with it. Jimmy, the main character, has no redeeming qualities based on this first volume. His backstory almost makes you like him, then he goes back to being horrible. It's irreverent fun and I loved it.

Very impressive comic from a master. Funny, gross, and overall extremely enjoyable. Highly recommend, if you can stomach it.

Trippy, violent, and a little twisted, but it works. Interested to see where this series goes.
