My most favorite Dr. Who ever. I just loved it.
This Christmas special was a little agonizing (I kept screeching at the tv which bugged my family greatly). The best part of this was Riversong, and It's more about Riversong than the doctor and really focuses on her and how her life without the doctor is..SHE OF ALL PEOPLE SHOULD GET HER OWN SERIES!!!!!!!!!!!!! NOT JUST AUDIO BOOKS!!!! AN ACTUAL SIDE SERIES!!!!!!!!!). I'm really frustrated with how it ended and the content is strange but not surprising. contrary to other comments, I would not label this as the worst Christmas special of Doctor who. The story is not hard to follow and it really does capture certain aspects of the Doctor and River's relationship. I'm going to rate this as 4 stars out of 5 because Riversong is fantastic.
Rated 3/10. Worst Christmas special ever! The best part of this show was Alex Kingston, who would be terrific as a regular companion.
I laughed, cried and cheered out loud in this very engaging episode. There is one scene in particular that really hits you in the feels...but can't write that here, because "spoilers" and all. (;
