The Apartment
A Novel
Book - 2016
"Four young women's lives intersect in the apartment they've shared in Hell's Kitchen: Claire, a shoe designer; Abby, an aspiring novelist; Morgan, a successful financial consultant; and Sasha, a resident in obstetrics. As different as they are from one another, the women had become a family by choice. But while their lives had proceeded smoothly in the years they'd lived together, new relationships, job opportunities, and surprising circumstances will test the strength of their bond in and outside the loft that had become their home"--Provided by publisher.

Add a CommentI so wanted to enjoy this book, I enjoy books about friendships and coming-of-age stories, but this seems written by a seventh grader. Drivel.
Another wonderful read by Steel! I highly recommend it. I've always loved stories about best friends and how they go about their career and love life.
I really liked this book. The characters are full of life and come alive on the pages. It's a little hard to follow in the beginning because there are a lot of characters to follow but once you are in, you are all in. I cheered, booed, cried and laughed which is typical Danielle Steel. The book is hopeful, nostalgic, and thoughtful.
I really enjoyed this book. In the last 10 years, I have just "skim" read her books but found myself reading every word of this one. It seemed to be as good as her earlier books.
I absolutely LOVED this book. I couldnt put it down. It is a very well written book. It was so good that I had to go out and buy it just so I could re-read it again.
Great book about four young
women sharing an apartment
and their lives.
Not my favorite of hers, but a decent read about four young women sharing an apartment and all the events in their lives, i.e. love, loss, careers, family, etc.
If you said an apartment is the main character in this book you would not be wrong. Four young women share an apartment and the novel tells us about a period in their lives. Since this involves their boy friends, bosses, and parents too the plot gets quite complicated. All the loose ends are tied and one leaves the book at the end feeling satisfied. Not a great book but if you want some light reading go for it.
This is one of her best books that I have read. It tells the story of women who share their lives in an apartment. They become "sisters" of sort. The characters are vivid and have complications they have to sort out. Loved it!!!!
