I really enjoyed watching this film's interpretation of events leading up to the Solidarity movement in Poland. The slow pacing, at times, worked because of the lead actor's understated performance. He brilliantly captured someone struggling between personal and political worlds. HOWEVER, if you just gave up smoking -- wait a while before you view it. :)
