I think that this series just gets better and better!
(The third book in the Cormoran Strike series)
Not usually a big audiobook fan but I loved this story and the way the great narration. Definitely deserved the Audie award it was given. A great addition to the Strike series. Can't wait for the next one.
Many popular authors are way overrated. Rowling is definitely not one of them. Her ease with words is truly a gift and she can craft a narrative like no other. The entire Strike series is completely delightful and this is no departure. Her character development is on point and right from the very beginning you can't help but root for the little detective agency and stay entranced as they work their way through their current cases. This book was especially interesting switching from the killers point of view to that of those trying to catch him. And, of course the ending leaves you wondering and waiting to see what happens next.
This is a fantastic book and the best of the series so far. Can't wait for more!
The third in the noir-ish Cormoran Strike series is narrated by UK actor Robert Glenister (star of “Life on Mars”) who is particularly creepy as the novel’s sinister antagonist.
Even with its disturbing subject matter, I found this an excellent novel and perfect follow up to "Cuckoo and Silkworm." Far and away, my favorite to date by Ms. Rowling in her alter ego mode. Superbly written with well defined character development with the emergence of Shanker and his referral of Bunson. Love it. 10 of 10 stars
