Okay. I agree in some of reviews that pacing is weird. to be honest I didn't really pay much attention so lost some of the plot/seemed building up to something then anticlimactic. Liked first half

This movie was really well done, super funny, and full of unexpected twists. As far as I know this is the first movie I've ever seen George Clooney in, and it made a pretty good first impression. In the end the movie shocked me with a much-needed message to the world about how we're destroying ourselves. I think in a way people SHOULD watch this movie. What they said is so true!

I know it was not as excitedly adventurous as I had hoped to anticipate, but it was an okay film about Casey having decided to "feed the right wolf" and saving the future from disaster. Recommended for ages 10 and up.

About 45% an advertisement for Disney products and 45% a gee-whiz use of special effects. (The latter loses something without 3-D in the theater.) This leaves 10% for making it a good movie, with a story and characters you care about, and it has neither of those elements.

But I'm a grownup. If you're 7 years old, maybe it's fun.

And the Oscar goes to... Special Effects! This is an entertaining romp I can recommend to Fantasy/SF fans. The Save the Planet theme is pretty straightforward but there was really very little about the story that was thought provoking.

I agree with the Library Staff comments. I found the acting rather drab. The main girl character was annoying! I really didn't care for her character at all. Anyways, something to watch when bored.

Athena: Do you want to know why you could never make me laugh.
Frank Walker: Why?
Athena: Because you're not funny.

Lecturer: The polar ice caps aren't waiting for us to decide if climate change is real. Rising coastal waters, intensifying weather patterns. They're all punching our one-way ticket to... Dystopia. By definition, "not perfect." Huxley's Brave New World... Bradbury's Fahrenheit 451... Orwell's 1984. Once considered fiction, these futuristic novels are actually happening right now and they seem to be getting worse.

Frightening or Intense Scenes: someone is seen holding a severed robot's head. another robot is stabbed. Several scenes feature parts of the world in total catastrophic ruin. we see a robotic skull that is charred black. the eyes suddenly open wide and it starts talking.

Coarse Language: hell is used several times, as well as one use of p---ed. God's Name is used a couple times too.
