This is a heart-warming book about a woman who adopts a string of handicapped, older dogs and then decides to take the ones who are amenable to meeting strangers, into the geriatric and psychiatric wards of a nearby hospital. As the Dean of Women at a Toronto university, she also involves the girls in her residence in this endeavor. The book includes other adventures she has with her dogs. One comment to add - you may find that tissues are necessary. I read part of the book at a fast-food place and was constantly having to wipe my eyes!
