This is a great story. I think I liked it more than my 5 year old the first time around but it lead to a great discussion about how much something that seems so simple to us, a goat, changes the lives of people who live in some other parts of the world. She was much more invested in the story the second time through with a deeper understanding of Beatrice's Goat.
