Power Through Presentations is a light-hearted but practical guide to overcoming one of the most common challenges that faces millions of business professionals today: translating ideas into sleek presentations. Other books target presenters who are taking the stage to speak to a room full of people, but most people create a presentation deck that is then emailed or reviewed over the phone. There's a massive underserved market of business professionals who need help to create effective PowerPoint slides in their day-to-day work.

Power through Presentations delivers exactly what the subtitle promises - real-world tips and tricks for better slide decks.

Balser addresses the needs of people building slide decks for email and phone / online meeting presentation, as well as the expected presentation in front of an audience. He uses an informal and sometimes irreverent narrative style throughout.

The back cover promises that the advice in the book is useful for users of any presentation software, but it's really targeted toward Microsoft PowerPoint (and Excel) users.

The book is a good quick read (I "powered" through it in an afternoon) but it's worth looking through more than once.
