Four girls. Four generations. One family. The fourth installment of the exquisite series from Ann M. Martin.

In this poignant conclusion to Ann M. Martin's beautiful quartet of Family Tree novels, the focus is on Georgia, the great-granddaughter of Abby Nichols whom we met in Book One.

Georgia, like her mother and grandmother before her, takes pride in her family's history. She does her best to navigate its many members, reflect on the lives lived, and unearth secrets that haven't been shared, all while growing up in the turbulent 21st century.

A must-read for fans of this series!

This is the fourth and final book in the Family Tree Series by Ann Martin. I really enjoyed all four books. The family starts in Maine, next generation moves to New York City, the next generation to Princeton, NJ, and in the final book they return to Maine. The authors deals with lots of family issues: an abusive father, death of an infant sibling, a depressed parent, death of a childhood best friend, relocating, mother/daughter friction, death of a parent, single parenting and child abduction. The family comes back together despite their grief, differences and geographical distance. The author shows the importance of families.

The final book of the Family Tree series wrapped up the quartet very nicely, and threw in a few surprises! I can't wait to purchase this entire series since the books cover so much from death of a parent to mental illness and many other tough issues. Would be a great series to discuss with older elementary-aged children.
