Another great story from Jane Green :-)
Loved this book from beginning to end. Great story, would highly recommend it.
I am having problems with this book, I find that I am not sympathetic to the main character because I'm confused by the story, too much is left unsaid. It is a book I keep putting down and then I have to try to remember the story, it does not keep my attention.
I enjoyed this book and was gripped from start to finish to see what was going to happen next.
This is the first book I've read by this author and I kept reading only to see whether the main character would grow a backbone. I really disliked Grace. Her constant questioning of herself drove me crazy. Does Ted bully me because I let him? Doesn't the doctor know better than me? Could I have canceled the event? No, no and no! Also, how naive can you be? You're giving control of your (considerable) finances to someone you met on Craig's List with no background check except some emails to a hotmail account? No way.
This book was just a mess and seemed like 3 unfinished books jammed into one cover.
Was it about a woman in an emotionally abusive relationship because of unresolved issues from her abusive childhood? A little.
Was it about a Single White Female-esque assistant trying to take over a woman's life? A little
Was it about a woman who was misdiagnosed and over medicated with psychotropic medications by an incompetent physician? A little.
Sorry Ms. Green, I'm done with your recent offerings. It seems like your talent didn't come with you when you moved to America.
