This film was definitely unique-out-there, and everything in between! It was a kicker, meaning it has some twists and turns that you don't see coming. It has some pretty deep things to say about Marxism and fascism. If you like Foreign, particularly Italian films, this one's no let-down. It can be quite beautiful and indeed it is "arty." It has a hefty dose of morality in it, too, though, without being obnoxious. Oh, and a couple people die in it. Spoiler alert.

This film was entertaining, but also provided food for thought. I loved its treatment of political radicals: extremists, whether of the left or right, are really all the same! They become mired in dogma and obsessed with acquiring power, and, consequently, lose sight of their original goal: to better the lot of those less fortunate. The foregoing is true of most who are actively involved in politics.
