A typical Bollywood movie with a difference in the story line. The cover for the DVD was really good and enticing. So, I was disappointed when the movie didn't match it. A surprising theme for the East Indian movie. What does one do when he or she is mismatched with the marriage partner?? Quite a quandry (dilemma) to find oneself in, as many people do in the real world. A very challenging topic. I found the story a bit confusing, especially the 2nd half. The anger, at times, felt over-the-top. It was, probably, difficult to play these 2 couples, when the emotions, hope, disappointment keep going back and forth so much. I give bonus points for the difficult topic. Yet, this movie fell short for me. There are better Bollywood movies out there. This was an OK movie, with some good scenes and music/dance.

A beautiful and sad film about whether marriage should be based on friendship or on passion.

A romantic tragedy with great music and story. One thing I noticed about Bollywood movies, no kissing on the mouth when the romantic leads finally get together. This was a beautifully filmed movie, I really like the director, Karan Johar, he also did My Name is Khan, another great movie. Great acting, musical scenes, photography and story. At over 3 hours, this is a long movie but it keeps you wanting more.
