Interesting left wing character who wrote for left wing newspaper & evolved. Yet, he was critical to Soviet Union.
He wrote warnings about Nazi Germany ,but he was dismissed as a Cassandra.
He was ambivalent to Great Britain. He hated stiff class structure, yet he insist it remained a great power after the war.
He was once the highest paid person in Canada & famous thanks to his radio second job gig. However, only a high school that bore his name & his family remembered him.

very interesting, editing to avoid repetition would have helped
the best parts are quotations from Matthew Halton's reports
