This is a ditto to below. It is also my first read of this author. It had depth, humour, a seriousness about it and a very clever way of portraying characters. I will certainly be reading more books written by this author

This is my 1st read of this author & I am delighted that I have found her. The book jacket makes this book sound as if it's going to be quite shallow & light. It's not though. It goes deeper & deeper into a persons motives, meanings & emotions. It really struck some cords while it made me laugh out as well & that's always a good thing.

A very good read. The characters are deeply flawed, and at times quite unlikeable. Maybe that's what resonated with me the most. Most of us are like that, whether we like to admit it or not.

Normally I love Cecelia Ahern's books, so I read much longer than I would have, given that I found Jasmine a pretty unlikable character. Finally I gave myself permission to stop reading the book. I just could not get into it. Perhaps I'll try some other time, perhaps not. There are so many books to read and savour. This one just isn't one of them, for me.
