Grid Autosport has many shortcomings. It proves itself fun for the first hour, but then falls down the same repetitive, bland, and often tiring pattern of gameplay. I found Need for Speed Shift 2 to be a better game, if you are looking for a hybrid/balance between arcade style racing (Need for Speed, Burnout, Blur etc.) and realistic driving simulators (Gran Turismo). Grid Autosport brings back interior views that Grid 2 missed out on, but it is a terrible job done, with very little detail to the dashboard, and a motion blur filter is applied at all times; avoid using this view mode, it gets incredibly distracting. On the plus side, like all Codemasters racing games, it has an extensive and realistic damage system, and every mechanical part of the car is taken into account. The Grid series' famous 'flashbacks' features are an easy way to beat the game fast but cheap. I would not play this game again.
