Lovely illustrations and solid rhymes make for a great way to learn about colours.

The artwork in Karma Wilson's Bear books is always lovely. As usual, the rhymes and meter are good. I like the lead in to each colour: each pre-colour page is clearly missing one word that rhymes, so you can guess what colour is coming up. Lots of coloured objects to identify on each colour page.

Beautiful pictures. Smooth flowing words. Encourages kids to talk about what they see on the page. Love how it teaches colors with such beautiful nature landscapes while still being fun for a kid.

Calmer and sweeter (but also less groovy and cool) than Pete the Cat: I Love My White Shoes, this book makes a good read-aloud for Family Storytime. For one-on-one reading, have your kiddo point out all the different colors they see in the illustrations. Karma Wilson's Bear is full of fluffy warmth.

As Bear walks through the forest with his friends, he discovers he is surrounded by colors. Help your child spot the variety of objects in that are blue, red, green and more!

What child doesn't like bright colors. I found this book to be very stimulating for a preschooler.

Big illustrations and clear colors...nice for read-aloud time.

As ever, Karma's Bear series is both beautifully written and illustrated. We should really own them all.

This is one of the most lovely books about colors that I have ever seen. Bear and mouse are walking and talking and as they go along they encounter different colors. On each double spread page you are invited to spy the items with the color for those pages. The items are sometimes subtle so the reader or listener has to look carefully to find them all. Along the journey, bear and mouse encounter different animals such as badger and wren. The characters are adorable.

The illustrations are beautiful and colorful. The verse in rhyme is not over done and draws you in. There are plenty of opportunities for the littlest ones to learn new vocabulary. They will adore this book.
