Author lifts whole pages--description or background information--from previous books and pastes it in each later book. Also, there was much too much of the graphic sexual child abuse detailed in this chapter of the Sara Linton story. I can't decide if the author is titillated by disgusting things she writes about or if she is trying to horrify her readers. There is NOTHING cozy about these mysteries.
Karin Slaughter is not afraid to delve into some deeply dark and disturbing topics. And, in the process, she pulls her readers in tight and won't let go. I'm hooked and looking forward to picking up book 3 in the Grant County series.
Sara Linton, the town's pediatrician and medical examiner finds herself in a terrible case of child abuse. Well put together
one of her very scariest and best to date
