Shallow characters and bizarre plot turns. It reminded me of the tv series "Dallas" . Was the author aiming for a TV script?
Loved the first two in this series, liked the third, couldn’t get interested in this. Unfortunately, the storyline became formulaic, and the characters uninteresting for me. Too bad.
The whole series is a great read period. It is one series where I will read it beginning to end again. It would be great to see it is a mini series.
I did not realize this was a number 4 novel in a series. the book was not marked and I usually watch for these kind of things but missed this one. I enjoyed the book but wish I had read the first 3. I am going to finishing reading the series - #5 & 6. Am excited to read the next chapters in the lives of these rich people.
Did not realize this was part of a series. Worth trying the first book.
always enjoy this author. and now Im hooked on this series. and cant wait to read the last installment. ss
I find myself more interested in the political aspects of Archer's series than the business ones. I also enjoy reading about the personal lives of the Barrington-Clifton family. Finally Sebastion is growing up, one of the few characters to show change in Archer's hands. Otherwise, events just happen. He drops his typical cliff hangers all over the place, keeping one turning the pages, with the biggest one at the end. This ensures that, like many, I will be reading to the end of the series. But after that, I'll have had enough Archer to last a lifetime. He's just not a good writer.
NOT AN EASY READ
One in a series, that should be read in order.
I cann't wait to read another
