The Last of Us is another masterpiece that was produced by naughty dog back in 2012. Though I don’t want to reveal too much of the plot, this game is amazing and definitely one of the best in the past 20 years. It follows Joel and Ellie as they travel across the country in hopes for a cure, all while Zombies, marauders, Cannibals and corrupted militaries are in between them and their goal. The story telling and voice acting of this game is impeccable, and I cannot stress enough how everyone needs to play this game. It is like a good book, except it is more immersive, and you’re one of the characters. Though there are mature themes, I recommend this game to anyone who can get their hands on this (especially the non-gamers). The gameplay and mechanics are pretty solid, and the story will leave you begging for more (don’t worry, they’re making a sequel). Being one of my favourite games ever, I have to give this a 5/5.

This unique spin on the classic zombie apocalypse culture has drawn so many to it, an action adventure horror survival game. Critically acclaimed for the relationship between the protagonist Joel and Ellie. Joel is an old man who has seen his entire world become chaos when the zombie break-out began and he lost his daughter. Ellie a teenage girl, who recently lost her mother and best friend, finds out she is immune to the plague. Joel and his partner have a task to smuggle Ellie to the infamous group called the Fireflies. In this game players are left speechless to the sheer amazingness of it.

The Last of Us is a third-person action/adventure game that also qualifies as a third-person shooter and a survival-horror game. The story follows Joel, a rugged old survivor in a post-apocalyptic world that was overrun by what are essentially zombies. He must smuggle a girl known as Ellie across America and the two go through many traumatic and gripping experiences together. The character design, dialogue and voice acting are phenomenal and really bring the various interesting characters to life. The story is very emotional and even hard to sit through at times because it is so well written. The graphics are stunning and really pushes the console to its limits. Enemy design and AI is fairly decent and the game mechanics are all put to use and very well executed. For a very linear game, the world seems very open and alive thanks to great level design. There aren’t any sections that are unenjoyable, all of them offering a unique setting and various scenarios that can be handled according to the player’s decisions. Overall, this game is a modern classic and a must-play for anyone who has a console who can ply it. 5/5 Stars

The only reason I bought a PS3, and I must say it was worth it.

The humorous narration between the characters and voice acting in the game was the reason why I continued playing 'The Last of Us'.

Players will spend most of the gameplay using stealth instead of gunplay which is a contrast to 'Uncharted' where you are given lots of ammunition. The game still gives the player an option to use an arsenal of weapons, but it is often wiser to save them for situations where fighting is unavoidable.

I highly recommend this game to players who enjoy games that mix narrative and gameplay similar to 'Bioshock'. In fact, the voice actor who voices the main characer in 'Bioshock: Infinite' also voices the secondary protagonist in 'The Last of Us.'

Great game. Loved the gameplay, and the story was really good...right until the end. I felt that the ending just kind of fell flat.

When I was running with Ellie in my arms at the end, I took a wrong turn, and ended up getting caught (yeah, good job, eh?) Anyway...I got killed, and everything faded. After finishing the game, I wished that had been the ending. You're running with Ellie in your arms, and you get caught and killed, and in the next scene, you're hiking with Ellie, and you reach the town, and everyone who has died throughout the game is there, and you realize that Joel has died trying to save Ellie, and they've killed Ellie to get at her brain. So yeah...just my opinion!

THIS GAME IS TOTAL BS.
I can't even get past the loading screen. I'm glad we can try these for free from the Library because I'd be pretty mad right now if I paid money for this. I've been at this for over an hour now, trying to look up solutions to no avail. It just won't load, patch or no patch. If anyone reads these, just consider yourself warned if it doesn't work on your PS3. This is a problem a lot of people are having with no solution and it isn't something you want to mess with for too long in case forcing multiple reboots causes a hard drive issue because of this game.

This Game was good, but its far from perfect as everyone makes it seem. The game does start to get repetitive after a while. Its the story and world that is the star here. The gameplay feels like it has been taken out of Resident evil 4, except with some stealth elements.

Flawless! Absolutely flawless, in every sense of the word. Everything in this game is perfect. Sony has ended to PS3 era with a bang, a huge bang! This is probably the best PS3 exclusive developed to date. A must play for all PS3 owners. From beginning to end, it has an amazing engaging storyline, with realistic characters that are not forced. You feel so many emotions in this game while you play it. In addition the game is very beautiful. The motion capture of all characters are so perfect that to me it felt more like a movie. You could actually see their facial emotions, anger, sadness, fear etc. The voice acting by Ashley Johnson and Troy Baker is some of the best I have seen in years. As well, the environments look very nice especially when you are outdoors. Perfect colour and tons of detail everywhere and you often have to stop and take a good look at everything before moving on. The game is also quite gruesome but what survival game or movie with zombies isn't? The gameplay is great and there is choice as to how you engage enemies and what to use while you do so. Naughty Dog developed this game as well as the Uncharted series and if you thought Uncharted was amazing, you ain't see nothing yet. Play this game now!
