"Carrie Hamilton, daughter of actress Carol Burnett, struggled in her youth with drug addiction and moved beyond it to a creative and productive adult life – until lung cancer felled her at age 38. Just before her death, she asked Burnett to complete the manuscript of her book, Sunrise to Memphis. Burnett found herself unable to do this, instead writing her memoir of Carrie’s life and their relationship. Correspondence, anecdotes and Burnett’s reminiscences combine to paint a touching mother-daughter portrait. In affirmation of Carrie's creative spirit, Carrie and Me includes the unfinished Sunrise to Memphis." May 2013 Biography and Memoir newsletter

This is a touching story written by Carol Burnett about her daughter Carrie who passed away.
I found it sweet, but a little boring at times because it is mostly comprised of the emails the two exchanged in the year before she died.
Nonetheless, it is a good read. Especially if you have dealt with the death of a child or close loved one.
