In the two years since the first edition became a global bestseller, the world of social media has grown and changed enough to require an updated guide.

This book is great for the basics on understanding why your organization should have a digital presence. It focuses on creating content that is useful for users. 100% recommend it to any digital marketing professional - just keep in mind that some strategies and suggestions are based on data analysis from 2010 and are no longer relevant (ex: Google+ strategy).

If you've heard of Social Media and have no idea where to start, this is the book for you. A very simple introduction to the idea of social media promotions.

An infomercial in book form, the author provides the basics of social media marketing in exchange for promoting all of her services which include consulting, public speaking, and TV guest speaker. If you are new to social media marketing it is a good introduction into the basics.

I didn't particularly like the book because it felt like the author wrote the book so that she can promote herself. After each section, she was like add me on Facebook, Follow me, email me, check out my website! In my opinion, there was too much self promotion.
