I am always shocked that people are so hard on this book or don't "get it". To me it is just about the most exquisite novel I have ever read. It is maybe perfect. It is beautiful, it is touching, it is funny, it is human, it is real, it is smart, it is brilliant, it is amazing. The story is lovely, the meaning is ground-breaking. I don't know if it is just "above" people or what. Maybe you will dislike it too. I have read if 4 times and I adore it.

Thought it would be a great book especially since I loved Pi by Martel. Thought this would be a modern day Orlando. I couldn't get through it at all! I quite less than a quarter of the way through. Hard to follow, not interesting and just plain horrible.
