This is one of my favorite movies; which is no surprise since I love both Samuel L. Jackson and Bernie Mac.

Love the singing and was also surprise to see Sharon Leal in this role AND that she has a pretty voice.

Sad that Samuel and Bernie did not make more movies together because they are a perfect match (comedy and wit wise)!!!

This movie is worth watching. It has humor, love, and reminiscing. This was Bernie Mac's last movie he made. The music is great, and Cleo has a great voice. The late great Curtis Mayfield also makes an appearance in this flick.

Plays like a remake of The Blues Brothers. The biggest surprise of the film, is that I think Mr Jackson can actually sing! Best part of the film is the end, when they pay tribute to Bernie Mack and Isaac Hayes.

Good – Soul Men (2008) 100 min. This is Bernie Mac’s second to the last film released before his untimely death in 2008. He’s joined by Samuel L. Jackson, who’s pretty good as a soul dancer and singer. I really enjoyed the comedy, the soul music, and the characters. Probably the best scene of the film is its attack of rap music; for anyone who loathes rap music the way I do, Soul Men is sweet music to my ears. The film closes with a beautiful sendoff to both Bernie Mac and Isaac Hayes. This is a good time film; just be weary of the fact that it’s laced with vulgar vile language and some sexual scenes.
