Great adventure. The book cover compares this book to the likes of the Hobbit and Harry Potter. Julianna Baggott has a trilogy of books for teens that is also very, very good. This book is quick moving, high interest, and fun to read. The book says ages 9-12, but I am much older and still enjoy a great fantasy adventure. Good memorable characters. Well written.

From the author N.E. Bode, writing here under her real name Julianna Baggott, comes a brand new fantasy series sure to please fans of The Spiderwick Chronicles and Fablehaven. When twins Truman and Camille are shipped off to stay with their grandmother they had no idea that they were about to embark on an adventure that would change the course of their future forever. The pair quickly learns that their grandmother is the guardian of a passageway to an alternate universe called The Breath World where magical creatures like blood be-takers, fire-breathers and bogpeople exist. You’d know them as vampires, dragons and mermaids. If that wasn’t enough to deal with, they also find out that they have special powers and are descendants of the ‘long line’. In other words the fate of both universes rests in their hands. This is a fast-paced, fun read.
