An excellent take on postnatal depression and its toll on a young family taking time off in cottage country Quebec. Suzie Leblanc, Canadian soprano, took on her first acting role and did an excellent job in playing the affected young mother. Good acting by all and solid directing by Rodrigue Jean. A not-very-well-advertized Canadian gem of a movie. It is slow and attention demanding, but ultimately rewarding.

I couldn't bring myself to watch this movie for more than 15 minutes. I took the warning of 'muted violence soon takes hold' in the description and gave it a pass.
