Humorous & light. Not to be taken seriously. Was lacking in plot however I stuck with it & enjoyed the speech 'Milo' gave the villagers at the end, perhaps a bit too true?

A somewhat typical quirky British comedy. Unfortunately, the scene that sets the scenario is too ridiculous. A hitman, who lives by stealth not only for the performance of his duties but also so he himself doesn't get killed, buries his weapons at the top of a hill in full view of anyone for miles around, not to mention the individual hiding just a few feet away. While not a comedy, In Bruges is a far more interesting film about a hitman who decides he doesn't like his job.

Unfortunately, even an actor as talented as Damian Lewis can't save a movie with a script this dull. There were some amusing scenes, but the plot wasn't complex enough to hold my interest. Also, I may have an unusual sense of humour, but I don't find exploding women or animals to be very funny.

I'm a big Damian Lewis fan, so I rushed over to have a look at this film. Quirky, off beat, in that sort of awkward British way -- think Monty Python without quite as much goo. The plot is clever - a hitman who has lost his mojo & just wants to quit the biz -- it's not like their employers are handing out golden watches. Still, Mr. Lewis gives a credible performance in a movie meant to be silly. Worth the time if you like that type of stuff!

Cute - quite funny! Damien Lewis is his usual quirky self. Milo is a failed hitman with a crazed killer on his tail. He hides out in a small village, passing himself off as the new baker. Surprisingly, he finds he loves the baking life, but can't seem to escape his past when the Villagers get a unusual idea of who "The Baker" really is!
