I thoroughly enjoyed the descriptive settings which compensated for the week plot, however, I found this novel to be racist. There are 4 Asian characters and all were portrayed as insensitive and/or cruel which seemed to imply this is typical of this culture. I will not be reading this author's work in future.

This is one of an enjoyable series -- Penny Brannigan mysteries -- set in Wales, in village life. The people are charming and curmudgeonly, sometimes at the same time. These are cozies in the best sense of the term. I'm looking forward to the next one.

This is the 4th book in this series and I really like the characters. I look forward to the next book in the series.
