I almost stopped listening to this book at the very beginning, because of the depressing subjects I could tell was going to be the obstacles and challenges the main character was going to face. So glad I kept going. I enjoyed this book. The narration added so much to the character. I would describe this book as "a dark comedy"of sorts. Dealing with the mental illness of loved ones, divorce, and death of a child are all heavy subjects but the main character actually had me laughing out loud at some of her thoughts. And the predicaments she finds herself in because of her attempts to just "deal" with her tragedies reminds of how I think I would find myself. She is only human and trying to figure it all out. I still have one more disc to complete and I still have no idea how it will end. But even if all is still tragic, it was a journey worth following and I will cheering for her.

Wanted to like this story...didn't finish. I felt she was a silly woman, not believable for me. Could have been a page-turner.
