I began reading the Anita Blake novels in consecutive order, I had already heard about this title, it seems to be everyone's favorite. I enjoyed the book and really loved the development of Edward as a character, however I cannot say that this was my favorite title so far. The story was great, but too long and drawn out for me.

I read this one pretty quickly. It's my first book in this series (in this genre really) and I really enjoyed it. I can't wait to pick up some of the earlier ones from this series!
