* I've never seen the Clone Wars cartoons or read any of the other Clone Wars graphic novels, so this was my introduction to the series. It's nice to see more female characters. I enjoyed reading about Ahsoka (female Jedi padawan) and Ventress (female dark side Force user) for the first time. Ventress has a cool squid-shaped spaceship.

* In this book we learn more about Ahsoka's people, the Togruta.

* The book also spotlights Anakin's story arc, with good tie-ins to the movies.
