"When things get tough for Carys Reitman, she does what any emotionally isolated girl would do -- she goes to strangers' funerals. But after an unexpected series of mix-ups and white lies, Carys finds herself in possession of a dead woman's engagement ring and in love with Tyler, the grieving fiancé"--Container.

A great preview about a young woman (Carys Reitman, played by Bijou Phillips) who crashes funerals in an attempt to get in touch with her grief and be able to feel. She accidentally ends up with the engagement ring of the woman who died, and then falls for the woman's fiance, a handsome young man who becomes the primary suspect in his fiancee's death.

In execution, however, the plot fell apart as the fiance's behavior made no sense, but seemed just a plot device, particularly at the end. The most compelling person was Carys's best friend, who prepares bodies at the funeral home and who was played with dark charm by Danny Masterson.

Not perfect, but fun, and Bijou Phillips plays Carys with warmth and earnestness.
