Lisbeth Salander--the heart of Larsson's two previous novels--lies in critical condition, a bullet wound to her head, in the intensive care unit of a Swedish city hospital. She's fighting for her life in more ways than one: if and when she recovers, she'll be taken back to Stockholm to stand trial for three murders. With the help of her friend, journalist Mikael Blomkvist, she will not only have to prove her innocence, but also identify and denounce those in authority who have allowed the vulnerable, like herself, to suffer abuse and violence. And, on her own, she will plot revenge--against the man who tried to kill her, and the corrupt government institutions that very nearly destroyed her life.

Once upon a time, she was a victim. Now Salander is fighting back.

Lizbeth Salander proves to be more than a hacker in this "last part of the trilogy" by Stieg Larsson.

Excellent! Loved the denouement to an exciting trilogy of action and intrigue! Lisbeth is a very memorable character.

This is the epic conclusion to the awesome Millennium Trilogy. I love Lisbeth Salander!

This could have been by far the best of the trilogy, but some parts of the book are overly melodramatic, there are some sections of dialogue that are just preposterous and, worse, some characters do not do things that would normally be expected of them and these “oversights” are key to advancing the plot; if there were a fourth book in the series, which there isn’t, I doubt that I’d read it.

Loved all the series. Books were much better than the DVD's. Much more detail and such great writing making you feel like you were there. A real joy to listen to on CD. Kept me riveted and intrigued.
