Very good start to series. A little boring, but entertaining all the same. The books just keep getting better and better!

A book I owned myself even though I didnt borrow it from the library, but I want to give some insights about this book.
I liked this book very much. My favorite character is Dovepaw, she-cat, daughter of Whitewing. She is brave and heroic to be chosen to go on the quest to save the lake. She and her allies defeated the badgers and filled the lake with water again. Very nice book.

I personally don't find this book or this series very interesting, they keep going on about one little thing that happened, so boringgggggggggggg.

Four tribes of cats are in need of prey due to a famine that has overcome the land. Star clan makes a prophecy that three cats with unnatural powers will rise to help the starving tribes. Two cats, Lionblaze and Jayfeather find out that they are two of the three cats in the prophecy but the third is not found. This book is highly recommended to you by the Big_Boss721.

Of the two sisters (Dovekit and Ivykit), I initially liked Ivykit more. But over progression, the personality of Dovepaw seemed a little easier to work with. Ivypaw is a little more rash and doesn't seem to have as cool as a head. This comparison might be a bit like the sisterhood of Leafpool and Squirrelflight, the sisters in the previous books. The fresh start to a new "six" series hits it with just enough speed at running the course, and another prophecy (why is it always prophecies?) issued down is pondered. What next?

"But is it safe?" Petalfur asked, her voice edged with fear. "What if the dogs come back? Maybe we should sleep in the trees."
"No, you would probably fall out when you feel asleep," Toadfoot told her brusquely.
Petalfur's eyes stretched wide with alarm. "Then what are we going to do?"

After the death of Hollyleaf, Jayfeather and Lionblaze know that they must find out who the third of their prophecy is. Meanwhile, Dovekit and Ivykit are poised to become apprentices. They are the daughters of Whitewing, who is the daughter of Cloudtail, who is the nephew of Firestar. They are the kin of Firestar, like the prophecy said. "There will be three, kin of your kin..." Jayfeather and Lionblaze know either Ivykit or Dovekit must be their third, they need only wait for the one to show their power. And when Dovekit senses something so far away that not even Jayfeather could smell it, she does just that. But when Jayfeather and Lionblaze confront her and tell her of the prophecy, she is terrified. She only wants to be like her sister, and the rest of the clan. But unfortunately, that is not her destiny. Her destiny is much greater than her sister or the rest of her clan.

When it is discovered that Dovepaw can see and hear events occuring from far away, she finds out that a beaver dam is causing their troubles.
