All Sophie wants is to forget what happened last summer. But that's not easy when people keep asking if she's okay, and her mother locks herself behind closed doors for hours at a time. And now her best friend, Abigail, cares more about parties and boys than hanging out with Sophie.

Lost in memories of the life she once had -- before that terrible day -- Sophie retreats into herself. But it's only so long before she must confront the tragedy of her past so she can face the future.

This was really touching, and emotional. I loved how the memories were so realistic. Very sad though.

I enjoyed this book, it made you feel sorry for the character because you didn't know what happened. I read this book in one sitting. This was one of my favourites! I loved this book, I read this one first and i still keep comparing the other books to it. It had a bit of mystery because you dont know what happend to her sister. I thought it was great!

I thought this book was okay, that is because they didnt mention the main part about the bombing until near the end.

this book had the one thing that i hate in books. Not having the important background information being one of the first things told. through the while book i was wondering who Emily was and what happened. when it said she was the sister and that she died, it was a VERY big letdown. this book could be written better but there were also in depth parts in it. i didn't really like the book when i finished it

to be honest.....i wasn't able to finish the book. I was 1/3 done when I had to put it down and usually I don't do that. In my opinion, that just goes to show how bad this book was. Well in terms of action. There was a lot of in-depth about her feelings but it found it dry and boring. :(

This particular book depicts the reality of real life situations in the outside world and how certain negative activities of our imperfect society can effect the normal every day lives of regular people and how they sometimes deal with the result of human mistakes.

It teaches an important lesson about family, friendship and forgiveness and to remember those that were lost.
