This book is incredible! Once you start it you'll never be able to put it back down. It's definitely a "stay up all night to finish" kind of book.

"This book is a amazing page turner that makes you keep reading and you don't want to stop." Review submitted by Cohen for the Minecraft Book Review Raffle.

Awesome series, Max has the boldest personalities i've ever read,I think she is sort of inspiring

I absolutely love this series! True there are some attitude problems in some of the kids but they are kids! They are not perfect, no child is. Max, Fang, Iggy, Nudge, Gazzy and Angel have all gone through a lot in just a few years so I don't blame them for showing their frustration. Though I would encourage them to listen to themselves more and realize what they're saying. I think the attitudes make the series more realistic and not so idealistic.

All I want to say is that people who are looking forward to reading this book in the series should not be mislead by the negative comments on this book. It is a matter of opinion. I, however, think that this book was really great. Yes, some parts are annoying I guess (and if ur like me, and you dont like romance, it gets annoying at times), but that only last for a few pages until something big happens again! I would strongly recommend to read this book to anyone who was considering it, and dont be mislead by the comments that say its boring!

I found Angel was annoying in this one. She was all know-it-all and I-told-you-so attitude

Definitely my least favourite book in the Maximum Ride series. The plot was nonexistent and it gave me a headache. It also seemed way too long for a book with no plot. Also, I absolutely can't stand the writing style. It's choppy and the wrong words are always used at the wrong time.

" 'Max.'
I went back over to him. 'Please don't impart any pearls
of wisdom. I just ate.'
He shook his head. 'Just - beware of Mr. Chu.
He makes Itex look like Sesame Street.' "

“Pick a tree. I'll carve our initials into it." -Fang”

“De tall, dark vun--dere's nothing special about him at all," ter Borcht said dismissively of Fang, who hadn't moved since the doctor had come in.
Well, he's a snappy dresser," I offered. One side of Fang's mouth quirked.”

“You were designed to be very smart, Max,' she told me. 'We electrically stimulated your synaptic nerve endings while your brain was developing.' (The director)
And yet I still can't program my DVD player,' I said." (Max)”

“They [Erasers] were bad fliers," Angel chimed in, "And in their minds, they weren't all kill the mutants, like they usually are. They were like, remember to flap!”

“Holy [Insert your choice of a swear word here]," said Fang stunned.”

“Max, you're the last of the hybrids who still has...a soul.' ... 'She doesn't have soul,' Gazzy scoffed. 'Have you ever seen her dance?”

“Can I come in?
No! I'm in a towel!
I'm blind!

“I can talk to fish!" Angel said happily, water dripping off her long, skinny body. "Ask one over for dinner," Fang said, joining us.”

“They turned to Angel. "We will call you Little One," the leader said, obviously deciding to dispense with the whole confusing name thing.
"Okay," said Angel agreeably. "I'll call you Guy in a White Lab Coat." He frowned.
"That can be his Indian name," I suggested.”

At the start of MAX: A Maximum Ride Novel, the Flock is attacked by bionic assassins (which Max nicknames M-Geeks) at environmental awareness shows in Los Angeles and Mexico City. Later, the government enlists their help in finding out what is destroying hundreds of ships and killing millions of fish off the coast of Hawaii. While the Flock is undertaking the task, a criminal mastermind is tracking their every move. Then, Dr. Martinez is kidnapped and held hostage. The Flock takes a submarine down to the ocean depths, fends off hordes of M-Geeks and rescues Dr. Martinez from an underwater dome as it starts to flood. During their struggles, Fang and Max's relationship grows stronger after they make out, and Max feels that she loves Fang.

This book is great, and the series is one its way to redemption. The story starts out slow, and actually, the whole first 50 pages don't make sense. But later on, the plot gets fast paced and exciting, and the romance will make your heart flutter (there's a lot more of it this time around and, in my opinion, I loved it... you can guess between who!).

There are messages about global warming, but there's so small and subtle that you have to squint to see them. It actually leaves you with a feeling that, "Oh, yeah, it does exist, and I feel bad," instead of, "Stop shoving it in my face, book!"

Anyway, the ending of this book was such a cliffhanger. I can't give away much without spoiling it, but please just go and read it. I cannot absolutely wait for the next one, now that I know the series is back on track.
