John Wilson writes excellent historical fiction for tweens/teens. Robert Bylot, a retired navigator from Henry Hudson's fatal voyage, remembers his early years in London learning from necromancer, Dr. John Dee. When a sailor brings him Henry Hudson's journal, it brings back the adventures and tragedies of his youth.
