(The second book in the Sarah Woolson Mysteries series)

rlbecker Jun 17, 2011

A very intriguing historical mystery set in San Francisco. The main character is a female lawyer defending a Chinese man in a sensational murder case. Despite all that she has going against her, she uses her grit, determination and brains to solve the murder, although she almost dies in the process. This well-written novel was one that I read in a very short time for me. I was reluctant to put it down. I also enjoyed learning about historical San Francisco.
