Though I figured out several major plot points early on, I still found it very enjoyable. Well cast with excellent direction. Also loved the visual design of the film.

Dull and dreary film. Hawke is a boring actor, don't know why he's as successful as he is. Ambitious film that's basically shooting blanks.

An erratic movie. Excellent casting- fine acting (well, Ethan Hawke plays the usual steely-eyed American Super Anti-hero, but given the strictures of his role, he does well), but an idiot plot.
The acting is so convincing that only after the movie is over do you (perhaps) realize- hey, that was silly. But the cast could read out a directory of street addresses and you'd be fascinated.

A time-travel agency that (only) chases serial-killers? Come on! That'd be like using an H-bomb for earth-moving. I'm quibbling- this is only fiction? It's said that fiction is all the more convincing for the realism, the plausibility of its realistic parts (setting etc).

I was left with the feeling of a Batman movie done with Shakespearean actors, impressive and goofy all at once.

Loved this twisty, turny, what the heck just happened movie. It is different, but both Sarah and Ethan were great. Beginning is a little slow, but stick with it because it all fits.

It started out slowly, got somewhat interesting, then somewhat confusing, and went back to somewhat interesting. It's a movie that you have to keep your eyes on or you'll miss important tidbits.

I would have given more stars if I could only understand what was going on. Very interesting movie but very hard to follow.

I watched this film almost a year ago, rated it highly but did not comment. I have thought about this movie many times, replaying scenes in my mind. I am still totally intrigued by the whole story and the wonderful job the director and the actors did. Sarah Snook, actress from Australia, is utterly fantastic. I managed to find a few more films/minis she was in, and, she is no fluke. I'm an old Heinlein fan so this is a treat to me for that reason as well.

Not your regular Hollywood fluff, and not to be watched with friends who like to talk while the movie's playing.
In this time travel themed movie, pay close attention to the births and deaths of the 2 main characters.
If I go for a second viewing on this one, I think I might take notes!
It is nice to come across the occasional movie that requires some intellect to get the most out of it, however. :-)

Frightening or Intense Scenes: Badly scarred bodies. Quite disturbing burned face, and badly scarred. Graphic depiction of a man's face burning.

Tons of quotes in IMDb:
Mr. Robertson: Yes. Have you ever been with a man?
Jane: Have you?
Alice: It's never too late to be who you might have been.
The Bartender: The one thing that this job has taught me is that truth is stranger than fiction.
The Snake That Eats Its Own Tail, Forever and Ever. I know where I came from - but where did all you zombies come from?
