Good for everyday, beginner communication (like if you have to make a last-minute trip to France). Make sure you have an pronunciation CD or a supplementary CD when checking this out, otherwise it's not going to help much with pronunciation. Doesn't dive into grammar, only basic grammar required for phrases and word structure. I'd recommend Ultimate French Beginner-Intermediate (Living Language) if you want more full and complete learning. Otherwise, this is just a basic introduction to everyday phrases useful on a business or travel trip.
