Another solid Lisa Jewell novel with characters who have realistically complex inner lives and personal relationships. This isn't one of her best books though. The whole Owen character and plot was a bit strange. I'm not really sure about…

This book shines a light on all that can go wrong in our law system, and though unlikely, a reality such as the one portrayed in the book is not impossible. It made me see the world through different eyes, changing abuse from being an…

Frankly I found this book to be boring. The attempt to build suspense failed for me. Also I believe that all the suspects in a crime should be introduced early in the book so the reader has a chance to make an informed analysis of guilt…

This book was a little different from the page turning suspense that Jewell seems to have in her other books. I stuck with it though, and it was worth it in the end.

The writing kept me engaged, though there were a few quite unbelievable bits. And to be honest, I still don't get the ending, and a quick search of the internet re spoilers shows me I'm not alone in this. Still, I liked the book overall…

A very good British mystery with some interesting insights into topics I was not aware of. At times the time-line was a bit confusing even with the markers of major holidays.

Another page-turner from Lisa Jewell. It's not one of my favorites but I still enjoyed it and tried to guess who was responsible for the attacks and disappearances of several young women.

Another Lisa Jewell page-turner. I liked this one quite a lot, even though I've read some negative reviews. These books aren't stellar pieces of literature in any sense, but they do keep me reading into the wee hours of the night.

This was a good book, but not one of the best by Lisa Jewell. Unlike most of her other books, there was nothing really shocking or exciting. Still one of my favourite authors though.

A good book, interesting story, but definitely not one of my favorites from Lisa Jewell. It was interesting enough to keep me wanting to read it, and I love how Lisa tells a story, but the twists in this book weren't as exciting or…

Have enjoyed every Lisa Jewell book I have read and this one is no different. I was hooked from the get go and every chapter made me want to read more. I looked forwarding to sitting down with this book and the ending didn't disappoint.
