I enjoyed this story very much, as the characters were all interesting and flawed and real. I was worried that I'd hate the ending, but was actually very pleased with how the story was wrapped up. I do agree with other commenters…

Bad, bad audio recording, barely audible, inflections on the wrong words. Supposed to be some aussie actor. Worst I have ever heard, and his accent is so strong and regional.

I loooove this story! And I usually love books on CD but the narrator was awful! His accent was hard to understand most of the time and I had to turn the volume up so loud to just hear his mumbling/whispering. If a book was available I…

I enjoyed reading this story. It pulls you in to their lives and decisions, and you find yourself making up reasons for what they did and makes you think of how you would feel in their shoes. An excellent read.

Great story! All the characters were struggling with what life offers and the ending was the best. I would put this on my top ten fiction list. Would so recommend this book! I will offer a warning to any audible listeners that it can…

Good story but terrible reader.

I enjoyed the story, but the audiobook version was extremely difficult to hear. The reader's voice was inconsistent and would often become almost a whisper so I couldn't understand what he was saying. I was constantly turning the volume up…

I was so excited to listening to this on CD in my car - it was recommended on a free reading list from the library. Unfortunately the reader was TERRIBLE. I couldn't understand what he was saying half the time because he actually…

It was a fairly good story, however the reader was the WORST. This rather ruined it for me. His voice volume jumped around so I was forever adjusting my IPOD volume. I highly recommend that, if you read it, READ it instead of listening.

This book is a reminder that life is sometimes hard...and we must live with our mistakes. Great book.

The unique setting of this book is a lighthouse on Janus Island, which is off the coast of Australia where the Indian and Pacific Oceans meet (hence the title). I loved the details about nature and the weather on this remote outpost. The…

What a gem! Stedman's first novel. Everyone talked about this book. We are all waiting for her to write again!
