Count Her In York Region is excited to collaborate with Markham Public Library to host an empowering math competition on Saturday May 30 tailored specifically for female-identifying youth in grades 6 and 7. This event is designed to ignite a passion for mathematics among young girls and encourage them to explore the exciting world of STEM.
To help participants prepare for the competition, we will also be hosting a preparatory workshop. During this session for those competing in the grade 7 math competition, instructors will guide students through practice contest questions, equipping them with the skills and confidence needed for the main event.
This is a fantastic opportunity for young girls to not only test their mathematical abilities but also to connect with like-minded peers and role models who can inspire and guide them towards a future in STEM.
